Gel electrophoresis in water?
Hi, need help answering these two questions.
How come one canít you run electrophoresis in water? And what happens to the DNA in the gel?

There are less ions in water, and basically none in pure/distilled water so you would not get a current and no negative or positive poles - DNA/RNA or protein would not migrate if it was charged
