Does guanidinium thiocyanate denature RNA molecules or just the RNase enzymes? I'm pretty sure its just the enzymes.... Thanks,

Indeed, you are right. It denatures proteins. I donīt think it messes with hydrogen bonds, so it shouldnīt denature RNA, supossing your refering to RNA secondary structure.

The RNA is kept intact only proteins, such RNases are inactivated.
