2D Gel Equipment Question

We are currently using BioRad GS800 densitometer systems for our gels (Westerns, Silver and Coomassie). These systems are getting a little outdated and aren't meeting our needs and the new BioRad systems we tried don't work for us (poor resolution on silvers).

We are currently looking at MicroTek Bio-6000 and Syngene Proteome Scan.
Has anyone out there used either of these and if so have you had good experiences with them (hardware, software, customer service). If not can you recommend any other make/models that you have used?
