Default high background in acrylamide gel

Hi everyone,
I'm working in proteomics on a marine snail and from some time ago some of my gels get with a really high background in the bottom. The spots are well resolved and even when I make two gels at the same time, one of them finishes well and the other one really dark.
Have you ever found anything similar??
I'd be really grateful if you could help me. Thanks in advance,
Mónica
